What year is this 3.0 Mercruiser? I want a spare belt.

I am going on Lake Ontario, This boat has a fairly new engine although it is in a 1989 Glastron, the engine has only 90 hours on it and I bought it this way. I wonder if anyone can tell by my images what the year of this engine is. I don't know where the serial number is on it. The sticker on the valve cover is unreadable.
I don't want to be out on the water without a spare belt and tools to change it. Anyone know ?
A. What year this engine is ?
B. What size belt do I get ?

Ayuh,.... The L A S T thing I'd wanta do is Try to change the belt on a 3.0 motor, rockin' in the waves, as it's quite a Job on the wagon,....

Take yer belt off, Now, 'n bring it to an auto parts house, They can match it up,...
Marine belts are Nothin' Special,...

Things like that are Better done, Before ya need it done,....

Get the serial number off the tag on your engine, with that you can find the OEM part number and most auto parts stores can cross reference the number.

I can see your SN tag in your picture.

Thanks Don, I see right where your arrow points to it. That was very kind of you to do that for me.
Bond-o Yes I agree that an on the water change would be a hassle. I have seen where others have left a spare tied up and tucked away in a place so that if a change were needed, they didn't have to deal with the motor mount and all. That's what I want to do. I want to clean up my pullys, change the belt and tuck the old one away nearby on the engine behind the motor mounts so it would be easy in a pinch on the water. Thanks again, both of you. It seems most 3.0 MerCruiser belts are this size. Next time I crawl back in the boat, I will get the SN off that tag.

4A009382 doesn't even come up, but, if I change the 4 ti a 1 (1A009382) it's a 2003 model. Which looks right, and from the Merc site it shows as an Engine only. Obviously a previous owner had a new complete Merc engine installed.

It appears your serial number is 1A009382 if so the Model number would be 4111221UT, and it's a MERCRUISER 3.0L ALPHA with a manufacture date of 10/09/2006.

You guys are great. Yes the engine would be right for mfg around 10/09/2006 and the outdrive is just as new as I only have 90 hours on it as of today. I am treating it as well as possible. Someday the pair may end up in another boat I find that needs a motor and outdrive.
Now I am in good shape and will make a signature to post my equipment. I can refer to it as well as others and it will save a lot of investigation time.

I was off on the year. Luckily Fun Times has access to a dealer site to get an accurate year of manufacture.

Use your actual sn 1A009382 not the range. Works much better.
