what year 15 hp johnson

I am looking to buy a 15 hp johnson but not sure of the year I believe its between 87 and 92 but I has a black foot and a goldish tan colored cowling ... u can only read half of the serial no and half of the model no I have never seen one of this color I am wondering if anyone knows what year they made them in this color?

Can you add a picture? Most Johnson motors also had model numbers stamped on the water jacket plugs, or freeze plugs.

That welch plug etracer refers to is on top the engine about 1/3 way forward of the spark plugs.looking from the rear it is just off center right
