What would cause 70 hp evinrude 95 model to fire sometimes

I have a 95 model 70hp evinrude we have fished on it prolly 10 times this year. It will stop firing ocasonally I can unhook red plug check all other plug connections take yellow wires on rectifier off and back on and it will start firing fine I need help thanks does anyone know what the two relays beside the rectifier is. Any help would be appreciated
