What used ski should I look for?

Don't want a POS and don;t want to pay more than about 2K so older and used is the way. What make should I look for and what should I run from!?

If it says Seadoo, run away! Yamaha is probably the most reliable watercraft made. You can get mid to late 90's 2 strokes for under $2500. I own 3 95 and 96 Yamaha Waveventures and have NEVER had a breakdown!. I got my 3rd one 2 years ago for $1200, great shape although it had 300 hrs. on it, but it still runs great!
