Live, colored carp (Koi) sell for big bucks. How do you prepare carp to taste good?

I kill every single carp I can, with a smile on my face! They are an imported pest that should never have been brought here. They are very useful as targets for fish arrows though!:D A body of water can support X pounds of fish. That X pounds of fish may be one 30# carp or 30#'s of 4" bluegills, which do you suppose is more useful to the bass etc.? I have caught carp by just casting to the big moving clouds of mud they stir up. I don't know how many fish eggs they eat, but I do know, most fish eggs cannot survive covered in mud. Did you ever see the aerial photos of the two identical ponds side by side, one with carp and one without? The pond with the carp, looks like a hog wallow, the one without is the prettiest shade of blue/green you can imagine. Thats the reason so many ponds have to be poisoned out, they end up with tons of carp and nothing else. I will agree they are crafty though and not "sitting ducks" by any imagination, it takes a lot of skill to stalk and slam a barbed fish arrow through a big carp, but its fun when it happens! It must be a gift from heaven!:D

Carp may be a pest, but they sure are fun to fish for! I've always wanted to go Noodling where you catch them with your bare hands.

Now that would be interesting, you would have to noodle carp with your fingers. Better start practicing that kungfu grip. :D
