What to start with first!!??

Should I put the new transom in or put the new floors in?? which one first or does it really matter what way I start with. And if it does matter, what is the reason please.

I would assume the transom first. That way you have unrestricted access to the bottom of it. But again, this is just an assumption, as I'm a newbie too.

What kind of boat are we talking about? If it's a fiberglass boat I'd pop the cap and do both at the same time.

I agree, at the same time but there is an order, transom then deck (floor)you want your transom to be glassed to the bottom of the hull also, can't do that with a deck in the way.

Deck is down to the stringers now. getting ready to pull the top of the boat off hopefully this weekend. Then out the transom, from inside the boat.

So Im looking at transom, then stringers and deck. good. and yes this is a fiberglass 1976 Glastron V166 outboard.
