what to do after a day of play

I am new to this type of economical fun. I was wondering if anyone would share some do's and don't when it comes to taking your stern drive v8 out of the water from a weekend of fun and sun.

Welcome to the forum and the fun....But economical???? Never

<br /><br />Wash the whole boat down. Pour an ounce or so of Dawn dishwashing liquid into the bilge, or use the Dawn while washing her down,and allow the detergent to slosh around in the bilge. If your boat has a battery switch, turn it to "no battery" or battery off position. Flush the engine at the raw water intake (if so equipped).<br />Cover her up for next weekend. See ya out there (If the weather improves).
