What size/thread is the lock nut on steering link?

Got to stop at hardware and pickup a stainless lock nut for the steering link on a 2003 90 hp Johnson. I forgot to measure, and if someone here knows, it would save me a trip home to check.

Thanks!

Gee, I think the one on my Merc took a 9/16" wrench to tighten.

Likely fine thread as well. So the bolt is maybe 5/16" or 3/8"

I believe you are right about the 9/16 wrench size, I seem to remember using it on both ends of the steering link. That narrows it down. Now I just have to buy two sizes... :D

Thanks!

Pretty sure they're 3/8" fine thread, low profile Nylocks...
