What motor do I have?

I just bought a used 8 horsepower Mariner outboard. The plate with the serial number is missing which is the big problem. The motor runs great but needs a pump kit and a new propeller. I have found a pump kit but the propeller is a mystery.
The websites all show propellers for Mariners with 2 stroke and spline drive to have 8 splines. Mine has 7 splines. Is is really a Yamaha? It doesn't make sense, the cowling says Mariner.
Any help?

I am having difficulty uploading pic for some reason, but the second prop showed up today, I went ahead and ordered a Yamaha 7spline and it fit perfectly. Obviously my motor was manufactured by Yamaha. What years did Yamaha make motors for Mariner?
