I bought an evinrude 25hp outboard (according to the cover and the prior owner). The model number on the transom mount tag says e35elcnd which is supposed to be a 1982 35hp with electric start. The guy said it might be a 35hp because a 25hp prop wouldnt fit and the prop dealer told him his was a 35hp. Anyway, it does not have e-start...it is rope start. The powerpack is number 0581926 and the coils look EXACTLY like the ones pictured (these are on ebay from a 1981 7.5 johnson)
My coils are very sticky and are falling out of their plastic "housing" and the iron or magnetic "pole" that goes through each one is broken on each end so i want to replace the coils. I have no idea what coils to buy if buying new. Any help on the coils and how to figure out exactly what i have?
