There is something wrong with the HIN
USH is a Bayliner
The last 4 digits of the HIN is the date code month and year so yours should be Sep/1990

Most likely the model is the length so if it's 21ft would be something like 210

The title says it's a maxum. The side of the boat has maxum on it but that's the vin iv got. I know maxum was Bayliner from what I had read. So not sure? Honestly you letting me know that the length is probably the start of the model is super helpful! Thanks

1990 Maxum "?". Not too keen on how Maxum designated their boats, guessing mostly by length and an alpha numeric system based on options particular to a series of models.

It's not too important to know the model of your Maxum as they are no longer manufactured and you'll get zero support from bayliner (the parent manufacturer).

What is important is the engine/drive package. Appears to be a mercruiser which is beneficial to you for parts/service availability.

1990 is most likely an alpha one (not gen ii) and the engine is a GM based 305/5.0 liter with mercruiser marinization added.

Post an engine and drive serial number to learn more. There are a few folks here with access to mercruisers history/information that are more than happy to help

Before you start sinking money into fixing it up, do a deep dive into the sub structure of your boat. Due to its age, there is a strong probability that the stringers and transom will need to seriously work. There is a wood skeleton under the fiberglass that supports the hull, if that wood get wet and rots, your structure is compromised and could be dangerous. For your own safety do a deep dive and check that out !! Older glass boats were designed to last 25 years tops, your is past that time frame, so a thorough examination should be done....good luck..

Try HIN Ushd08mdl990

O & Q arent used in HINs

Run that HIN thru WWW.HINDECODER.COM

Provides a possible model #, but as an out of production 30+ yr old boat, you won't find much model specific parts, except maybe a boat cover which a universal cover would fit too. Same w Bimini & convertible tops, universal if it fits it fits.....
