I got this 6' wide roll of fiberglass for cheap yesterday and wasn't quite sure what it is. I'm guessing it's a "roving" but I'm not to sure what the unwoven spots are all about.. Anyone have any ideas? I threw the tape on there for reference. Seems like some heavy duty stuff, but I can't seem to find anything with Google that looks like it.

you have a roll of roving and I would guess it was cheaper because it was a "second" It will work fine for you except I would not use it on finish work.

Wow..where did you get that stuff ? ..

Looks like carbon fiber stitching..

Its not woven roven .. its called something else ( I just cant think of it ) ..

I have a roll of this same thing without the Carbon looking twines. Never used it.

The unidirectional patterns look intentional.. Possible for a Custom job for Something ?

I will look into this glass Monday..

I thought those spots looked intentional as well. Just not sure what for, the guy i bought it from didn't know either. I'd like to build a layout boat with it...
