what is the N = AN140TLET

I know it is a 140hp 1993 tilt and trim but what does the N stand for ?

You are sure that is correct?? If it is Id be curious to know what it stands for as well. The A is to note that is was made in Australia, but the N ?

I looked it up..if I read it right it means counter rotation....meaning your prop turns counter clockwise I guess...I believe they use a counter rotation engine when a boat has a few engines hooked up..like some of the 3 and 4 engine boats you see for off shore fishing....

At one of the harbors down on cape cod..I seen a boat there with 4 Yamaha 250's on it...pretty nice setup.....rigged for tuna fishing...

I don't know what it means either, but it doesn't mean counter-rotating. The "N" indicating that would be following the 140, not ahead of it.
