Is it the gauge temp sensor?, I tought it was located on the side of engine block....

I would guess it's for temp, but that's just a meaningless guess.

I tought the gauge sensor was on the SB side of the block at the valve. I will have to check again what it looks like.

I did disconnect it, but I was watching the digital readings from the gateway on my phone and saw no change. Of course I was not looking at the gauges

follow the wire colors. they are standard.

Tan is for water temp gauge. dont believe. if you ground it out, your gauge will peg hi
