What is the shaft length of my 1984 235hp Johnson outboard - model #J235TLCRC serial#j597968

the L indicates its a long shaft 20in. sorry tried to make that larger but i was not able.

Isn't long 25"?

from what i understand 15in is short 20in is long and 25 would be extra long. also they made 22.5in and 30in but i think those are rare. if your model number had an X in place of the L it would be 25in.
