There is only one good thing I can think of if Kerry wins. It will keep Hillary out of the race at least until 2012

I would lobby for an open season on Democrats, with no limit. ;)

I would leave the Country, just like Alec Baldwin said he would do if Bush were elected.

If the majority of the people want to vote this idiot into office, so be it. If it does happen, it will just reaffirm what I already know, there are a bunch of yellow-bellied sap suckers in this country. ;)

I survived 8 years of Clinton's crap, which means I could survive about anything.

.........a very sad day for this nation if Kerry gets elected. :(

Re: What if Kerry wins??

When Clinton won his first term, I knew otherwise rational, reasonable people who were literally in tears, thinking it was the End of Freedom And Democracy As We Knew It. But, we made it through that, didn't we? I mean, my personal economy was never better, before or since. (Not giving the pres credit for that, but at least he didn't screw it up for me.)

Plus which, only way he can get elected is if Mr. Bush hands it to him on a platter with fries and a coke to go, biggie sized, thank you very much. It's a distinct possibility, but even if it happens, there's far worse things than having a demo white house offset by a republican congress.

This is no deeply held conviction, just a theory based on observation. Too bad Dan Quayle gave up so easily; who can deny the connection between his rise to power and the fall of communism? :)

What whould I do?
Shrugg my shoulder's, shake my head, and keep on supporting issues and groups that are right. Hope that either the rep. party comes back to the right, or that a strong charasmatic candidate whould emerge and create a viable party in line with my beliefs.
Enjoy my like minded friends and family and look in disgust and confusion at people who want to turn this country into a socialist, immoral playground.
Come Nov. I'll be sitting in a tree watching the critter's, while contemplating my life.

P-p-p-p-p-president Kerry?!?!?!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaugh!!!!!!!!!!!! How can anyone even manage to put those two words together in the same sentence?!?! I'm with some of the others on this board.... I'd seriously consider relocating to another country! IF Mr. Ketchuphead somehow pulls if off and wins, it will mark the end of what it means to be a proud American. The America I knew as a child will be long gone. :(

* As a German, English, Irish, Scottish, French, Norwegian, ....whatever type of heritage, I would be a minority with no rights whatsoever.

* My Remington 870 12GA shotgun would be confiscated.

* My old Marlin model 60 .22 rifle I've had since I was a kid would also be confiscated.

* The little pocket knife that I always carry in my pants pocket, would become illegal and I'd probably be looking at jail time. The old Schrade pocket knife was my dad's, and when he passed away, my mom told me to take the knife and continue carrying it just like my dad did.

Butch A.

???How about projected budget surpluses, PW? A prosperity built on a bubble of smoke and mirrors and peace built on denial by a President whose sole aim was personal gratification.

Snapperbait, it is "aint no THANG". Hard to believe that one of my favorite iboaters is a Kerryite.
My only hope for Kerry is that if elected he will become apprised of the situation and flip flop into the right position on the issues that matter. Like having a live shark on deck, you don't know what side he will end up on.

SCO.. "aint no THANG". wooopsy.. my bad.. :D

Truthfully, I don't care for Kerry much either.. Would like to see better offerings by both sides.. If, for instance, the republicans offered up someone like John McCain, then I could see myself voting for him over someone the likes of Kerry.. (OMG, did i just say i'd vote for a republican)

Not to worry Snapperbait. If that were to come to pass you would not have to choke on the R word. A rose by any other name is still a rose and they can call John McCain anything they want but he will still be known by his stripes. A Democrat!

Re: What if Kerry wins??

Might be some negative reinforcement.

Major changes need to happen. Major causes and effects can make major changes.
The faster and more complete the effects, the better.

The Republicans are taking this country down slowly. It's proving to be a slow and painful.
The Democrats have proven they can kill this country much faster and complete.
I'm in the thought that it needs to get a lot worse before it gets better.
Not to many times in history does a perfect candidate come along that is proving to be just the person to completely and quickly ruin this country as John Kerry.

Shoot, 40% of the country hates Republicans. Fourty percent hate the Democrats. I'm in the 20%(?) that hate them both.
After Bush, then Kerry, that 20% is sure to grow.

I'm an undecided presidential voter while I comtemplate this further.

Re: What if Kerry wins??

Hmm, my bank account was in a whole lot better shape during the Clinton years. I wonder if that was smoke and mirrors statement that the bank kept sending me???

As far as voting for a Republican--it could happen. If John McCain or Colin Powell were running, I could easily see myself voting for a republican.

There is no candidate out there that I agree with everything on, and re the dems, virtually anything the labor unions want would be bad for the country, for example.

I am virtually always against anyone that wants to find simple answers to complex problems, whether it is the unions slapping big tariffs on products to "protect jobs"--or kicking the world's butt to bring peace.

I've been a supervisor, manager, and parent long enough to understand that leading thru fear alone doesn't work, nor does giving everyone what they think they want. Doing it right for a leader isn't easy or simple, formulas and idealogy won't work in all situations, and not everyone can do it.
But I have been around enough leaders in my day that have done it right to understand that who's in charge is vitally important to success.
Is Kerry the guy? I don't know--he was not my first choice, to be sure, but Bush has clearly shown me he is not the guy.
