What glue do y'all use to stick vinyl on aluminum?

Just some good spray contact cement? How does it hold up to the sun & heat? I want to apply vinyl to my dashboard tray. Thanks.

pl man it sticks to anything and stays that way even in water

I used Weldwood contact cement and it has held up well for me.

Get the Weldwood in the red can (the original formula), not the low-VOC junk in the green can...that stuff just don't work fer crap.

I find a lot of the green versions don't work well, so while they may be easier on the environment, what good are they?

I glued indoor outdoor carpet directly to aluminum using the Home Depot 6700 and that would work fine with vinyl....... it's cheap too

It's cheap all right, but I don't know what I'd do with a gallon of it!

Heh heh, I did a quick look on HD website and the gallon came up. Will definitely check out the smaller size. Looks like pretty good stuff.
