What gasket sealer?

Ok,Ezeke told me before but for the life of me i can't remember...:confused:, A sign of getting older..:rolleyes:

Sealant for the exhaust cover inner and outer gaskets on a flat back 175 Johnson Crossflow..
I have some Loc-Tite Aviation sealer but Ezeke mentioned a spray..
Suggestions? :D

Gary, I believe he mentioned NAPA Permatex Spray-A Gasket Sealant #765-1224 for that use. I use BRP's Gasket Sealing Compound with the built in brush in the lid.

It's the same stuff as the brush-on non-hardening aviation gasket goo. The aerosol just makes the big gaskets a lot easier to coat.

hi gary i use the permatex 300 or aviation with the brown lid on the last couple i did worked great the evin dealer here cant seem to keep it the permatex acts just like the brp but seams a little less workable.
oh and i bought a nice 1983 175 powerhead for my 150
ill pm you later on what i have left .

i use the avaition brown type sealer as well (brush on). Works great.
