For coating/sealing my new plywood decking, what type of epoxy should be used?

There are many types in the iboats store.

Thanks

Gluvit will work, but it is faily high in viscosity, most use a lower viscosity product on wood.

Not to mention, it's kinda Pricey compared to others.

Will a half gallon of thin epoxy (not gluvit) work for coating the decking on a 17.7' boat with a 6' beam?

Yes.

I got the 1/2 gallon and put 3 coats on my deck, seat boards & new transom board of my 15-footer.

Remember, after it's epoxied, you'll have to paint or otherwise protect it from UV rays, they deteriorate epoxy. I applied all with a 4" foam roller.

Thanks lakelover. I will be spraying "spray-in" bedliner over it, which is UV stabilized.

I got the 1/2 gallon kit from USComp. and it's more like 3 qts., it was enough to do 4 coats on the deck of my 17' deep V and had a little left over.
