What does VRO stand for?

Excuse my ignorance but before about two months ago I had never run a motor over 25 HP or newer than about 1971 and never really followed trend changes or the market on newer motors.

Variable Ratio Oiling.

It's a system (mechanism) for varying the fuel/oil ratio based on (I believe) RPM. Less oil a low rpm to avoid plug fouling with more oil at higher rpm to help lubrication.

Its also worth noting that OMC discontinued the variable oiler quite some time ago. They are a straight ratio oil injection now.
