7x50 is a very good setup, that is what I use. I have the Smith and Wesson High Seas in the 7x50. I carry them in the boat because they float and will not let water into the lenses. I use them in the field, because they do not fog. They are an awesome set of binoculars. You might look into 'em. Not too unreasonable at $170.<br /><br />
