What do I do with 2 chargers

I am cleaning and fixing up a Bayliner 3350. There were no batteries so I had to start from scratch on how to configure. I have discovered that boat has a 12 converter that kicks in when shore power is plugged in. There are 2 charging lines from the converter to the battery switches. There also is a Pro Marine SS 40 that can handle 3 battery banks but only has 2 cables running ot the battery switches.

Does anyone know if these are regulated chargers? Is having 2 chargers running to the same battery cause damage or problem? Do I have to worry leaving them on too long?

I have also gone to three batteries; configured two deep cycle/starting batteries to 2 switches so each engine can select either battery or both. I have added a deep cycle battery that can switch to the house load or to either of the starting batteries in parallel. How should I charge the deep cycle house battery? I could use the third lead from the Pro Marine SS40, use a combiner or isolator and charge from one of the starting batteries receiving a charge, use the charging circuit off the 12v converter for the house battery and the Pro Marine for the starting battery.

Too many option?

When I have this figured will need to determine how to get 12v to the generator for starting, but will need to rebuild the generator first. so no rush.

Thanks for any info, Bruce

The Pro Mariner is a regulated charger and can be left powered indefinitely without harming the battery. Without a make and model of the converter/inverter it's difficult to determine if it is an automatic/regulated unit but I suspect it is since it is essentially a shore power setup. For the third (house) battery simply connect the remaining output of the Pro-Mariner charger. That battery will then be charged anytime the boat is connected to shore power. Your other system can remain as it is if that works for you.
