so a little history. i have a dt140 1999 and about a year ago it started running poorly. the more it runs the worse it gets. i have checked the injectors flow and leak are perfect. compression is 122-125 on all. the sensors temp&air pressure are good. the vst and pressure reg have blow off lines to the throttle body and they are dry. the intake manifold is drenched with oil when you run and it runs very rich. i am not getting any lights or alarms from the contol mod.i feel like i have checked every possible item exept for the ECU and the exaust. when you fire it up it starts great until it loads up then it is a challenge to start and dies also. anyone think its possible that an exaust blockage could cause the problem? any ideas on what to check next? i really appricate any help i get.

even when problem is occurring?

Are you sure injectors where checked and cleaned? where did you send them?

How do you know motor is running rich?

Probably best to get it hooked up to a computer to see what is going on, too many things can be out of speck but not failed

I know it is running rich because there is oil caked on the plugs, a ring of oil around the plug hole when removed and the intake is full of oil. I can't find anyone closer than a 7 hour drive that has equipment to diagnose it. Nearest dealer lake havasu.

Re: what do i do now?

Fuel pressure too high or leaking will cause a rich fuel/air mix, as injectors just turn on and off.
I do not think ecu looks at O2 and adjusts for that.
probably some sensors also

But if you are saying too much oil, I believe that is controlled by linkage to oil pump from throttle, at least Yamaha's do it that way
