What could have caused this to happen?

Just had the starter replaced. Took pontoon out this weekend and wasn’t on the water ten minutes before no power! Anyone know what could have caused this?

Rectifier failed...bad terminal connection at battery if battery selector switch, bad cell in battery, loose battery connections, bad connections at rectifier

bullet connectors are notorious for over heating when under a constant load....

Bad or failed route to earth…or any other larger load or power demanding component…like regulator, coils…starter or trim motor. Relay perhaps too. Time for some fault finding with a multimeter
