Whew, now I feel better. Had me worried for a minute but my engines do not get too hot and water temp yesterday max was 72 (69 in the long island sound) while air temp was over 100. Last night it was still high 80's when I got back to the marina and humidity was ridiculous. I still wonder about the fuel smell though. When I changed out the spark plugs last season they were wet with fuel so I'm thinking it's the engines running even richer than before.
