What Boat is this?

My mother is giving me this boat, she is trying to find her title for it.
I dont know anthing about it she said she believes its a 1979? It has an emblem on the back that says "FLARE". I cant find anything out online, anybody that might know any websites or anything?

Look at the hull on the transom.... look for the Hull Identification Number which might be molded into the transom or on a plate....... that will establish the brand and the year (works on boats built after 1972).

The USCG has a database of manufacturers (MIC) and the first three letters of the HIN will lead you the who built it and the last two digits are usually the year.

We used to have a Flare. It was a 17 foot bow rider, Deep Vee Hull. Had a 150 HP Rude on it. I always understood that it was built on the Cobia pattern of boats, but not sure about the Tri Hull design or Mod V like yours...

Thanks I'll take a look at that number unfortunately its still at my mothers so i cant doit now. Just been looking all over find boats similar to it but cant find Flare. Want to put some work into it and would just like any info. i can get.

Ok The side Emblems say FLAIR bartow,florida
and its a 1976 the number on the hull reads
FBC12816M76J
and the capacity plate inside the boat says
Jim Henderson Manufacturer Co.
Bartow, Florida

Can anyone tell me anything about it
or give any advice because I would like to get it back Ship Shape so to speak.
