I took my out drive off to check my gimbal and bearings, gimbal bearing is out, but the other thing is that I found two small metal pieces in my exhaust, what are they ? They look like flaps of some kind, will try to post pics thanks
Those are most likely what is left of your exhaust shutters. Basically they keep water from entering your engine through the exhaust. It would be wise to replace them. Not too bad of a job. What is the year and engine?

They're Supposed to be in the y-pipe, or down-pipe, depending on what motor ya got...
