I swapped my old 40 horse rude for a 60 today, and I think i hit a slight snag. My old motor didn't have power tilt.

The new motor is an 87' evinrude 60 3 cylinder with PT&T. All of these wires come from the tilt and trim solenoids except the green one, and it comes out of the harness running to the solenoids.

I have this much figured out, in the group of 5 wires...

Red 12+ to switch
Green with White stripe-Trim down to switch
Lt.Blue with White stripe-Trim up to switch
(touch the red to either of these and the motor moves up or down)

Black?(its a ground, but to what?)
White(with red or pink stripe)?

Green???

Green is almost always for "down like the grass". Blue "up like the sky". You will have a hot or live wire (power). The other 2 smaller gauge wires are likely for the trim gauge (which you wont have), so dont worry about them, tape them off unless you plan on installing one. They should be of a smaller gauge than the other ones.
