What age of i/o style boat should I not consider buying?

When buying an I/O (inboard/outboard) style boat, I’d avoid anything older than 15-20 years unless you’re into restoring boats. Around that age, you could start running into problems with the engine, electrical systems, and even the hull, depending on how well it’s been maintained..
