Cystic Fibroses affects 1/30,000 people in the U.S. Although some live long lives, most, when diagnosed at an early age live an average live span of about 32 years.

My 18 month old granddaughter, Madalyn, has been diagnosed with this horriable disease.

Any thoughts or prayers will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

RP,
I believe in the power or prayer and, more importantly, the power of God to intervene in people's lives.

I prayed for wisdom from the doctors as she gets treatment, for the family to grow closer together due to this disease, and for healing in her body.

Most importantly, I pray that God's perfect will to be done in Madalyn's life.

God Bless your family!
James

Re: What a Day....Prayer Request

I understand what you are going thru, RP. It is difficult situation, and you get a feeling of helplessness.

I recall when my 5 yr old daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and required surgery. I spent several weeks at Children's Hospital in Seattle, and even set up a kind of makeshift office at a bank of pay phones in their lobby.

The one thing that struck me was how many other children had seemingly more serious life threatening illnesses, and somehow it seemed our problem paled in comparison to what others had to endure.

My prayers are with you.
