Wetsanding gel coat. With Air DA pads.......

By hand I find 600 or 800 grit works great wet. However when I use my DA the water causes the pads to come off. Is there any trick to keeping them on, or a different kind of discs I need to buy. These are 3m wet/dry so I thought the adhesive would be OK. Guess not.........

i commonly use a 3m spray adhesive when i use a air da on a flat pad.

other equipment i regularly use is powered.... i have hook and loop interfaces for those.....i like hook and loop far better than adhesive.

Yep this stuff is waterproof

I've used the 3m spray since the early 1960s...it works as advertised and is industrial duty stuff.
