HI!
I have a 97 evinrude 50 elactric start.
Runs Great when it runs .
But when it rains the fire to the sparkplugs will not fire until the boat dries.
Uauslly within 24 hrs.
Engine turns over very fast so it's not the battery.
Any sugestions as were to start other than the kill wire at the engine (Black wire with yellow tracer on mine) Already cut mine and still no fire when wet ?

Re: Wet Problem

A simple solution would be to move to the desert, but I guess it is a little hard to run your boat in the sand! The wire you cut, is that direct from the pack? Is the inside of the motor getting wet? The plug on the main wire harness, is it a big red one?
