Wellcraft Airslot hull repair

So....noticed having to run the bilge pump every day while on our last Baja adventure. WHile unloading and washing the boat, I found an 8-10" gash on the inner edge of the port "sponson". My guess is that it is the result of my superb helmsman skills trying to load it on the trailer with a crosswind and outgoing Sea of Cortez tide.
That being said...I have some experiences with fiberglass repair (Manx buggy NOT marine)...but would appreciate any pointers or advice
