So here we are coming up on the longest day of the year which brings back some memories of playing horseshoes and drinking and BBQing on the shores of the Beaufort sea around Tuktoyuktuk a few years back.
Great beach, really quite warm, and the sun never set.
Think I would like a redo of that event.

Oh heck yes! Nothingness and mosquitos large enough to stand flat footed and rape a Turkey... I'm absolutely sure the wife and kids would rather be there than Disney World/Land or a nice beach in Florida or on the Gulf Coast.

Without a wife and/or kids it would probably be a great place to go, I'd go in a heartbeat for the fishing.

Sounds like a fantastic plan! Did you already go, or heading this weekend?
I've been there, back in 1986. Am from Eastern Ontario, near Ottawa, but yes, have travelled that far.
We actually flew in, by choice, not chance lol.....
Was mid August back then, so no midnight sun, but darn close....long long days up there, even then.
Still laugh that the stick pins my mum bought for souveniers up in that area, were tiny bear traps to wear on your shirt, to 'catch' the mosquitos up there! hahahaha
Loved that trip, maybe someday get up that neck of the woods again.
Cheers for beers in Tuk.
