Not sure if this is the best place for this question. I have a 1975 151/2' Trihull bow rider and recently lost my engine. I'm looking at a 2007 Mercury 4 Stroke engine but I'm concerned that it may be too heavy for my boat. I have a plate on the back stating a max of 90HP is recommended but considering that there wasn't 4 Strokes back then I'm wondering if I could possibly swamp my boat with this engine. Any suggestions on how I can find out? Thanks.
