Weight of an Evinrude 70HP

Any body know the weight of an Evinrude 70HP as my 50HP Evinrude has a toasty piston and a cracked block.
My 50 weighs 180lbs and I need to know if my 14FT boat will take the extra weight. Thanks Dan

In the neighborhood of 220lbs, I believe.

What is the max hp your boat is rated for? Use that rating as a guide to whether your boat can handle the 70hp(assuming your transom is a good shape).

Right around 240 lbs depending on the flavor (manual, TnT, etc) and the year of the engine. Could be more could be less.

Just checked and the placard says 55 max. Maybe I can trade the 70 for another 50. thanks Dan.
