Does anyone know how much a `87 Black Max XR2 150 hp outboard weighs ?? A friend got two seized cylinders due to a fouling carb. He wants to replace it with a newer outboard. He has been thinking about a `01 Mercury Optimax 225 hp outboard. But he is abit anxious about the weight-difference on those two outboards. Does anyone know the weight of those two mentioned outboards ?? 2001 Mercury Optimax 225 hp and 1987 Mercury BlackMax XR2 150 hp.
