I am at the beginning stages of building a jet Jon boat. I am looking for advice on weight distribution. My thoughts were to put the seats slightly off midship. The motor will be about 3/4 aft.
This leaves the fuel tanks a battery, which I was thinking about putting slightly forward.
I added a pic of my thoughts.
Looking for some wisdom. Thanks !!

No expert but just thoughts
A Jon boat is really light and looks like most the weight will be amidship and forward. The motor is very little weight compared to people (unless the 2 folks are under 100). Fuel and Bat even further forward will cause porpoise issues.

Put fuel and Bat behind seat near transom

A jon boat is not a modified V.

A 14 footer (IMHO) is too small for a jet drive.

Yes, limited advise, . . but I've always thought having the fuel tank at/near the center of balance is a good practice, since the amount of fuel will have little effect on the balance of the boat.
