If the stator was bad, you would not have good spark on any cylinder. Check the spark yourself, the spark (with the spark plugs removed) should jump a 7/16" gap with a strong blue lightning like flame... a real SNAP!

Unless that stator has cracks that is allowing a sticky looking substance drip down on the timer base and powerhead, I would assume it is good.

Check all connections pertaining to the ignition... loose, tight but dirty, poor grounds, etc.

It could be a problem in pack. This pack has a single capacitor to to fire the coils so if you had a damaged SCR or solder connection, it could have weak output to that coil and others OK. You can test the output to coil with a meter and DVA adapter.

Make sure that it is leaking from your present stator.... and NOT from a possible previous stator.

If from the present stator, then replace it regardless. I've never seen a failing stator affect just one clyinder though.

I vote for a bad pack or sensor but it should be checked out with a peak reading or dva meter.
