Re: Water Wasp Mini Boat
Greetings again, I know little to nothing about these Water Wasp, the appeal to me with this boat is its unique design and above all portability, fits right in the back of my truck, no need for a trailer. One thing life has taught me is that if it is easy to do you will do it more often. This boat will be easy to transport, unload, have fun with it on the water and store it away in the garage when done. I'm looking forward to all the possibilities one can put into it. One consideration I have is to run some mid-fifties outboards, 12hp to 15hp in power with electric start, again running all the wires through the hull, there is plenty of room inside the cowling to do this. Given how light this boat is that should be plenty of power. The initial plan is to have a small instrument panel installed below the steering wheel with push button ease, that is, a start and stop button, choke button and nav light switch, along of course with a kill switch. I plan on staying with the cable steering already in place, and will probably install a mid-fities Johnson/Evinrude remote control along side the seat as I am comfortable with this operation. I do however really like your idea of a gas foot pedal.
