water shutter on y pipe

I have made several post regarding my one piece manifold , and slight water in oil, I am considering replaceing the manifolds, I notice on both sides of the y the water shutter is missing. Could I be drawing water back up thru the manifolds with this missing component.

yup ya need the exhauset flappers
