Water Pump

Can someone please tell me how to check if a water pump is blocked. When I flush the motor no water is comming out of the spout?

Hi Ron/Bill,

Welcome to iBoats....

Let's start with what engine do you have? A serial number would be even better. And exactly what has happened? Did you run aground, the engine not started for a long time, or have you just tried to replace the impeller and now it doesn't appear to be working? They tend not to 'suddenly stop working'.

Hi Chris, thanks for replying. the serial number is 2630514. Nothing really happened. I went out fishing and when I came in to wash the boat it was then that I noticed that the water wasn't spurting out when the rabbit ears were on.

Have you tried putting in a tank of water or the lake somtimes the muffs wont push the water through

Hi again Chris, My hubby and I have not had the chance to put the baot in the water due to the weather. We will next weekend. I will let you know if your advice worked. Thanks Ronnie
