I recently changed my water pump on my '89 50hp Evinrude. I noticed when I test ran it in the driveway with a flush boot that the water pressure indicated on my dash pressure gauge was not as much as I am use to seeing when I am running in the water. I am seeing good flow from the tube on the motor even when it is idling and wondering if I would expect greater pressure readings on my dash gauge when I am under full power in the water? Should I be concerned?
