I have an old Merc 500. With the muffs on and the motor not running, can water still flow through the pump and if so should there be a stream from the pee hole. I dont get any water stream from the pee hole when it is running and I'm reluctant to run it for any length of time until I replace the pump. I'm just trying to determine if there is an obstruction in the hose without pulling it out. The hole is clear up into the hose.
