I pulled it and took it to the local auto parts. It matched up exactly to a Volvo 244DL pump. This pump though is entirely aluminum. The one I remove was stamped Volvo and also appears to be an alloy. Seems to be exactly the same. Any thoughts.
Unlike electrical and fuel system parts,a water circulating pump should be fine to use. I am not sure if they use more durable components in them though. Maybe someone else will chime in.
