Water Pressure Gauge

Hi. This is a new-to-me Sundancer Designer 200D with a water pressure gauge as part of the instrument array. What water pressure would this be monitoring? Where is the sensor?

It's monitoring the water pressure in your engine created by the water pump. Sudden low(er) pressure is good cause to believe the water pump is getting ready to fail, or has failed.

if the gauge is electric, there will be a sensor, however if there is a hose at the back of the gauge, it will be plumbed directly to the motor.
