Have a 2001 Bluewater with 3.0L Volvo in it. Overheated due to bad raw water pump. Had engine tore down and head and exhaust manifolds were magnafluxed and pressure tested. Both were good. Had it put back together and it ran fine for 30+ hours with no water in oil. Checked it all the time. After last outing the crankcase is full of water. Just can't figure out how it went 30+ hours without water in oil then all of a sudden its full of water. Should I go through the same routine as last time or should I assume block has a crack and buy a new longblock? Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Water in oil......but how??

I've never seen this happen on a boat motor, but have on an auto, when I did valve job.
I tourqed down the heads, but forgot the 200 mile re-tourqe,and blew a head gasket.
Sometimes,a head will not seat perfectly the after the first tourqe setting, and unless you check them shortly after running it for a while, the head will loosen-up and cause leaks. Of course, this is just one possability. Another is they missed a crack while checking. Another is a leaking riser.
I wish I could narrow it down for you, but I'm hoping it's not a missed crack.
(very slim chance, if it was magnifluxed).
