how do you change the seals on the lower unit of a 88 force 85 hp? diagrams would be helpful.

Welcome - procedures and diagrams are all in the manual which you should have or get.

Unless you do it for a living, a person should have a manual before he or she does any repair work, no matter what kind of outboard. I found that out; I've always been a pretty good mechanic, but outboards are a different world
