How much water are we talkin? For just a little, I would install a Fuel/Water separating filter and use some Heat in the gas. For alot, it will have to be drained....

Is this a built in tank? Are you sucking water into the engine? Water is heavier than gas so if undisturbed it will be on the bottom of the tank. There is more than likely access to the inside of the tank through the fuel guage sending unit. Depending on where that is either bow up a little on the trailer or bow down so you get as much water to that part of the tank as possible. Siphon out water/gas from the bottom of the tank until you feel you have most of it. I would recommend the installation of a fuel/water separator filter that you can order here on Iboats store. They use a disposable filter like a screw on oil filter. If your boat is moored in a slip the constant wave action will keep the water/gas stirred up so you'll never get all of the water out by siphoning. Good luck!

i open the fuel send unit on mine and use a hose small enough to thru the transom drain hole. got it all. do be environmentally friendly in disposing of it. you can actually drain it into gas cans, let it sit and settle, and siphon of the top for the lawnmower.

If your gasoline contains ethanol, that bottom layer is ethanol & water - the remaining gasoline has significantly less octane after losing the ethanol, so it's no good.
