My 1995 VP 7.4l was hydrolocking this weekend so i decided to check the plugs and low and behold #1 and #3 had water in them. I checked the oil and there is no signs of any water in the oil, i have checked it every weekend since April 1st and it is has been the same every weekend. (level and coloration) I Know it could be the exhaust, cylinder head, intake and all of the gaskets. Should I go ahead and order the gaskets and plan on tearing everthing apart next weekend or should I try clearing the water and keep running it. If I saw water in the oil I would be tearing it apart and checking things out but since there is no signs of water, I am confused.

Re: water in cylinder, hydro locking

I am glad my thread can help someone out other than me. When I read this I just knew you were referencing my thread Don before I even clicked on it.

By the way mine still got rust in the cylinders and I am having trouble with it. It started, and ran for awhile. Then when I went out and started it the next day it sounded rough and then sheared off a starter bolt in the block. All I can say i be very careful with that and good luck.
